Pest Trap!

All the kids in our class were assigned to make a Pest Trap.

We had 3 weeks to research, and create a pest trap that was simple and easy to trap pests, such as mice.

I made a glass bowl mouse trap. It is pretty easy to make, and easy to set up.

3D Birds!

Conservation Week 2017!

For Conservation Week, our class had different tasks to do.

One of the tasks was making a 3D Bird.

I created a Fairy Tern!

This is how I did it.

1. Print a bird of your choice.

Blue Duck/Whio:

2. Glue the bird on to a piece of card.

3. Cut around the bird and the wings. Do not cut the dotted lines!

4. Fold along the dotted lines.

5. Cut the white lines to slot the wings into the bird.

6. If you printed in black and white, colour it!

7. Enjoy! 

If followed the instructions, your bird would look somewhat like this.

Book Review: The Cry of the Taniwha

Maria Day!

Maria Day!
Today was Maria Day! We wore red to represent our house group, Maria. 
And brought our Mums to school to represent Our Lady, Mary.
We started off the day with celebrating a mass. Today's mass was about the Assumption of Mary.
After the mass, our priest ran a quiz about Mary, and gave out prizes to the people who got them right. :)
I answered a question correctly, and got a cool looking t-shirt! :)
After the quiz, we split up in house groups, Chanel, McAuley, Marcellin, and Maria.
The Mums got snacks and treats, while the kids sat down and coloured. 
I was colouring with my friends, and out of no where, the bell rang! It was already Morning Tea!
The Mums had a cup of tea, and went back. 
Best Maria Day ever!

My Special Thing!

My Special Thing!
I wanted to share my special item which holds an important place in my heart.
It is a Mary Sculpture, and I got it when my baby brother was born, from a man in my old parish.
I was 6 when I got it, so it is in pretty good condition, considering how old it is.
